Penang Real Hokkien Mee (Prawn Noodles)

After Penang Beach Carnival Dragon Boat Race, our club organized a post-race gathering at one of friend's house. This gathering already postponed 3 times and finally it happen. Specialty about this gathering is Hokkien Mee (Prawn Noodles).

Alex Tah's mum used to sell Hokkien Mee at Mccallum Street, Penang. However, she is retired now. So, there is no way you can eat her hokkien mee anymore. Although, there are so many hokkien mee available in every corner in Penang. This is the best hokkien mee I tasted so far.

Look at it already "lau nua" *gulp*! Not to mention, the good companion of Hokkien Mee, Mr. Siok Bak. I believe many Penangites will agreed with me on the "good marriage" between Hokkien Mee and Siok Bak.

If you want to find out the combination of Hokkien mee and siok bak, you can visit to Astaka Batu Maung. Buy the siok bak from market and add it to the hokkien mee because there is no way to eat this homemade hokkien mee by Alex's mum.
